The owner of Douglass Support Services, Doug Smith leverages his experience in business operations, accounting and technology to create efficiencies and streamline operations for a variety of clients throughout central Indiana.
Having been at the helm of small businesses for much of his career, Doug understands the critical aspects of workflow operations and financial systems and their impact on cash flow and the bottom line. His insight into the many hats small business owners must wear—which often take away from the skills they do best—enables him to provide essential services which support and improve business operations.
Doug applies technology to simplify operational systems, expedite processes, and enhance customer service in companies ranging from small entrepreneurial firms to complex international corporations. His ability to translate technical complexities into easily understood concepts and terminology has facilitated process improvements for corporate marketing divisions, communications and human resources departments, advertising agencies, commercial printers, business forms distributors, manufacturing firms, and more. Doug’s breadth of experience in business management and operations, coupled with an extensive knowledge of graphic arts production and technologies, hardware, software, systems and solutions, helps enhance the efficiencies of growing companies.
Doug holds a degree in Industrial Supervision and Organizational Leadership from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He was a founding member of the Hoosier Rails to Trails Council, is an avid sailor, and delivers meals for Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana.
